When people think of Red Rocks, they usually picture the amphitheater and for good reason. But just below it is one of the most underrated spots for a proposal: the Trading Post and Trading Post Trail. It’s quiet, it’s beautiful, and it feels like Colorado without needing to hike for miles.
This proposal was so special! Trystan had reached out months prior to the session to plan this big day and it came out perfect. That’s the kind of energy I always want to photograph.
Most of the people who reach out to me aren’t trying to put on a show. They’re not looking for dramatic posing or a public display. They just want the moment documented in a way that feels like them. A little quiet. A little goofy. Maybe with a dog tagging along.
The truth is, you don’t need to perform. You don’t need to be photogenic. You don’t even need to look at the camera. You just need to show up for each other. I’ll take care of the rest.
If your partner would rather have a quiet, intentional moment than something performative and you want photos that let you relive that moment without interrupting it I’d love to help.
Reach out and let’s plan something that feels like you two.
