If you’re looking for a spot that doesn’t feel cookie-cutter, let me introduce you to Fort Greene Bar in Denver. It’s tucked away in Globeville, and from the outside, you might not even realize it’s a bar. But walk inside, and it feels like you just stepped into your friend’s cool, funky living room with a little bit of mood and a whole lot of charm.
We chose this spot for an engagement session because the couple wanted something that felt relaxed, private, but still visually interesting. Fort Greene checked all the boxes. There’s velvet furniture, green walls, hanging flowers, layered vintage textures, and honestly… just really good vibes.
This place is dark and cozy, which is a dream if you’re into more moody, funky images. I shot on digital and polaroids, and the mix of artificial light, shadows, and texture gave me so much to play with.
If you’re planning an engagement session and want something different from the usual park or mountain in the back, this is such a good option. It’s also available for private rentals, which means we can shoot without the bar being open to the public, super helpful for both lighting and comfort.
Fort Greene is perfect for couples who want their photos to feel like them low-key, creative, and meaningful. I’m about helping you feel comfortable, and this space makes that part easy!
