Earlier in the year I was able to shoot with Arlet + CJ (also two of my really good friends) who wanted to show off their style in a unique and fashion-forward way. Arlet had on a white power suit with clean white pants and gorgeous white heels, while CJ wore a sharp grey suit and white sneakers. Let’s just say it was giving GQ vibes.

For this session, we chose a few of Austin’s hidden artsy backdrops to emphasize their modern and playful style. We started near Target by the UT campus, which framed CJ + Arlet oh so perfectly on the staircase (peep the photos). Then we moved over to a motel right across 6th street that made for a fun and colorful backdrop. Motel? Who would have thought, right? Honestly, it’s always the places you initially don’t think about that make for the most artistic background.

Overall, this downtown power suit session was the most creative shoot I’ve planned in a while. It was a fresh and modern take on young romance, and it captured Arlet’s and CJ’s unique styles and personalities PERFECTLY. Please take this couples session as your sign to buy a suit!
