Monterrey, Nuevo Leon is one of my favorite places to visit in Mexico, and here’s why…

1. Because it’s only 6 hours away from Austin, where I was living previously
2. It’s a major city in Mexico, meaning there’s tons to do and eat
3. It’s where my husband and I (bf at the time) spent our first New Year together

Before visiting Monterrey, Oscar, my husband, and I researched a few places to go eat and explore. Immediately el barrio antiguo caught my eye. With its vibrant colors and endless shopping and restaurant strips it reminded me of my favorite place to visit back home in Panama – Casco Viejo. We walked the streets and my mind began to flow with ideas and inspiration for photos. The painted walls, textured roads, and beautiful doors all inspired me to come back and take photos here. Which obviously, I did! I ended up meeting Anne and Daniel through a mutual friend and this session was brought to life.
